Making this Labyrinth tattoo for Haydn was one of Making this Labyrinth tattoo for Haydn was one of the more technically challenging tattoos I’ve ever created, with that being said I enjoyed it a lot.

These small, extremely detailed tattoos that make me sweat a little, are my favorite. You never learn by being comfortable.

Also, any Labyrinth fans out there?

I know, I’m a week late😴 but a quick recap of I know, I’m a week late😴 but a quick recap of some of my 22’ projects and some quick thoughts on the previous year.

2022 was a bit of a roller coaster from time to time with my back injury and being out of tattooing for a solid 2 months. With that low came lots of highs. I learned more about my body, my mind and implemented routines that changed my life in the aftermath. I also feel like in turn this allowed me to create a body of work that I can say I am the most proud of in my career, I learned so much and was so inspired working with my crew @thirty3.studio along with all of my amazing clients. Together with your ideas and trust in my process I feel like my work is a reflection of my art and a path i hope to take going forward.

Excited for what the new year will bring and the project I will create with you guys again. I am excited for new goals set in place and more growth in the coming year. For those of you who have read this far, and all the amazing people I worked with this year, thank you! Sending you all positive energy coming into this new year.
Got to create this extremely unique yet very tough Got to create this extremely unique yet very tough design for Simeon🤌🏼

he wanted to create a statue out of a tasteful nude of his wife with Aphrodite vibes. In the background we also included a simplified shape of her wedding ring. This is a prime example of trust and a few unique ideas coming together to make magic.

Thanks again brotha, always good adding to your collection.

A lot of times you’ll have clients who say they’ll give you artistic freedom, and sometimes you’ll have clients that actually mean it. Joel was one of those clients and I think we made some magic✨ this has a lot of fun small details in it along with a bold foreground that I think reads so well, but let me know what you guys think!

Yesterday morning I received the news that my frie Yesterday morning I received the news that my friend, my brother, and a mentor of mine had passed away at 5:37am.

Casey Somsel was a light, his energy, his mind, and his talent were truly special. I met Casey at a large transitional period in my life/career. Casey and @troubadour_tattoo not only welcomed me in but really made it a point to get me in their shop. Over the next two years i worked side by side Casey. He taught me so much about life, his random knowledge on everything and anything, his tips and unique approach to tattooing, his weird witchy energy, or the super odd raw food he would have us eat. Casey changed my life, to this day I practice things Casey taught me.

It seems in this life the brightest burn out the fastest. Casey was no exception. I know that his energy lives on. I am so proud to wear your art, to have shared your company, and to have called you a friend. I love you Casey, cannot wait to see you again in a next life✨
